Stock Market Volatility Is Normal

Feeling like markets are more volatile than ever? Yes! Indeed.
For many investors the stock market swings over the last few months have been scary and provide fresh reminders of the 2008 meltdown.
In some cases, prices on the Dow could move up and down by +/- 500-800 points within a day, depending on how the market reacted to “tweets the message” from President Trump. :D
When markets go on a wild ride, it’s understandable that we feel uneasy and wanted to get out of it when index down by few hundreds of points and wanted to buy more when certain stocks hit the target price set in our wish list.

As I said before, the market is 90% psychology in sort term and full of noises, it swings like pendulum base on “news headlines” and tweets. We may need to stay away from the market and get ready with some war chest to take advantage if market act irrationally, which I’m sure from time to time it will.

I don’t spend much time watching movies during my working life, but now I have more time not only for catching Pokemon/reading/gardening / doing exercise but also watching movies/series on Netflix. The latest show I am watching now is “ Mindhunter season 2” . Watching series is kind of “luxury” for me in the past as most of the time devoted to work – work and part-time work.

"Mindhunter revolves around FBI agents Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallany), along with psychologist Wendy Carr (Anna Torv), who originate the FBI's Behavioral Science Unit within the Training Division at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. They interview imprisoned serial killers in order to understand how they think, with the hope of applying this knowledge to solve ongoing cases."

Readers may know that my wife and I love travelling and I have shared some of our travelling photos here. We don’t spend much on “things” but our biggest expenses every year is on holidays (experiences), again, this year may spend another $15K  on our family trip to Hokkaido in coming year-end school holidays, which I am really looking forward to it.

Last week, I spent some time rearranged my photos taken during our early trips to China. I have done some editing on those photos as it were taken quite some time ago and at that time the digital camera still not as good as today.

You may find some of these pictures familiar as it mostly were quite famous places to visit for holidays to China.

Cheers!
